Not so long ago the footpaths that crisscrossed the Suffolk village of Helions Bumpstead would have been the primary means of getting from one village to the next. Recently these footpaths have been in danger of disappearing through lack of use. But now, It's Your Community has provided funding for the installation of a map at the centre of the Village Green, illustrating the network of footpaths running through the village. A limited number of maps will also be made available to residents and visitors to the local pub, helping to keep alive an ancient local resource.
