Project Details
This project was a pilot community gardening scheme for Hatfields, an area densely populated with office blocks and housing estates near Waterloo. The idea was that a shared interest in growing things and the creation of a green oasis in the heart of the city would help decrease vandalism, neglect and antisocial behaviour and bring people together at the same time. The It's Your Community award will be used to set up a gardening club for local families and office workers for the care and future management of Hatfields Green.
